Students in Action!

For yesterday’s photography class, we decided to take an outing to Cox Arboretum for some photography.  Cox is a beautiful Metropark not far from the Dayton Mall, and boats large flower gardens, ponds, a stream and even an “edible landscape” vegetable, herb and fruit garden.  It’s always a great setting for photography, and we weren’t disappointing again yesterday.  The unusually mild weather help contribute to an awesome photography outing.

While we got a number of beautiful images, and we’ll share them later, here’s some we captured of our students in action!

New Class Session Starting!

Everyone, we’re pleased to announce that our next session of classes at the Middletown Arts Center will be starting the second week in September, 2012.  We are offering:

  • Afternoon Adult Photography Class – Tuesday – 2:30pm to 4:30pm – Starts September 11, runs for 8 wks.
  • Evening Adult Photography Class – Tuesday – 6:00pm to 8:00m – Starts September 11, runs for 8 wks.
  • Kids Digital Photography Class – Wednesday – 4:30pm to 6:00pm – Starts September 12, runs for 4 wks.
  • Photoshop Elements 10 Class – Wednesday – 6:00pm to 8:00m – Starts September 12, runs for 8 wks.

Hey Fans! Do you shoot a camera that offers “digital zoom” like many of the consumer cameras available today? Have you ever wondered about the difference between “optical zoom” and “digital zoom”? Adult Digital Photography Class

Just a reminder, the next Adult Digital Photography class session begins July 17th at the Middletown Arts Center! The 2:30-4:30 already has enough registrations so will definitely run. If we can get at least two more registrations for the 6pm to 8pm class, it will run also! Contact the art center directly to register!

Upcoming Photography Classes

The next round of photography classes offered by Weigold Photography is coming soon!   The next session of the Kid’s Digital Photography course starts May 9, 2012 for four weeks from 4:30pm to 6pm.   The next session of the adult Digital Photography course starts May 15, 2012 and is offered from 2:30-4:30pm and from 6pm-8pm.   For more information or to register for any of these classes, please call the Arts Center, or visit their website!

Kids Digital Photography Class

The popular Kid’s Digital Photography Class is back for another session at the Middletown Art Center. The course is open to kids in (or entering)  grades 3-6 and their parents. It runs on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. There are two upcoming sessions: The first session runs June 9-30. The second session runs July 14 through August 4. Instruction – Digital Photography for Kids!

Weigold Photography is pleased to announce another two sessions of the course “Digital Photography for Kids” in conjunction with the Middletown Art Center.  Here’s the class information from the MAC website:

KIDS DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY – Grades 3 – 6
Instructor: Steve Weigold
(4 week Terms)
T3.Y7A – Wednesdays: 6:30-8:00 – Feb. 18, 25, Mar. 4, 11
T3.Y7B – Wednesdays: 6:30-8:00 – Mar. 25, Apr. 1, 8 , 22
Tuition: $50.00 each Term ( must supply own digital camera, spec sheet available if needed). Come join us for an interactive hands-on photography experience geared toward children. Children will start with camera familiarization and move into topics such as basic composition and lighting, image storage, computer connection and obtaining prints.
